Please see the message below for information about a memorial meeting (with a potluck following) on June 22nd.
Message to Friends of the Santa Fe Monthly Meeting:
Jean Mayes moved to Santa Fe in 1989 and was the resident Friend for Santa Fe Monthly Meeting for three years. She was a Friend who enjoyed singing and dancing. She ate plenty of organic fruits and vegetables to give herself health and strength as she lived with breast cancer. A few years ago, Jeannie and her husband, Rich, moved to Costa Rica, with annual visits to friends and relatives in the states. On Monday, May 27th, Jeannie died peacefully in her sleep. Her husband, daughter, and son would like to invite Friends for a memorial meeting to be held in the garden of our meetinghouse on Canyon Road, June 22nd, 4 PM. Jeannie's family would like to share a Quaker potluck following the meeting for worship with the intention to celebrate Jeannie's life. At seven o'clock, all are invited to the Odd Fellows Hall on Cerrillos Road to honor Jeannie at the contradance. (Jeannie and Rich met at a contradance.) Come to dance or to simply enjoy the Celtic music. Please hold Rich, Heather, and Mickey in the Light. Thank you.
